Changed lines 1-2 from:
  1. In the episode serenity the assault rifle that is commonly seen with the 'brown coats' is helf by Zoe when she stands up to lay down covering fire as mal runs out to get to the mounted machine gun, Mal is also carrying this weapon however his has the added scope.

But during the pilot episode you see a variaety of weapons being used by thye brown coats so there is no pre-defined weapons. The most prominent rifle is the one that mal and zoe have in thr first episode serenity and thye message. ''(The prop for this weapon is the Heckler and Koch G36, a weapon system currently in service with the German Forces as well as the NATO Rapid Reaction Force.)

to:
  1. A bull-pup configuration rifle used by Sgt. Malcolm Reynolds at the Battle of Serenity Valley. (Seen in the hands of Mal during the opening credits of all episodes of Firefly as well as during the opening scene of the Serenity Pilot, Part 1.
(The prop of this weapon is a FAMAS assault rifle, a weapon in service with the French military.)
